![]() ![]() I still love the fact that Amy, one of Rosie’s best friends, is in a wheelchair, and she is still able to be a major part of the adventure. While this is book 5 in the series, it can be read as a stand alone book as you will soon get to know Rosie, Ben, and Amy, as well as the evil Destructo, however it is helpful to read the other books too. They will have heard the news about the drought and the impacts, especially with the bushfires at the start of 2020. This book drew me in from the first page with an out of control train! Kids will also be drawn in by the action and adventure, as well as being able to relate to the issues with drought, no matter where they are. This time they head to Winton in Queensland to help Rosie’s Aunt Matty and Uncle Banjo save their farm from the worst drought Winton has ever seen, as well as battling the evil Destructo.
